Dr. Milena Katzorke is one of only 71 orthodontists worldwide to have completed the “Master of Science in Lingual Orthodontics” course at the Hannover Medical School in addition to her specialist dentistry. Dr. Milena Katzorke has many years of experience in the field of lingual technology, having worked for two years in the world’s largest and most renowned practice for invisible lingual braces WIN in Bad Essen (orthodontic specialist practice Prof. Dirk Wiechmann and colleagues).

Lingual braces work completely invisibly on the inside of the teeth. With lingual braces, you can have your teeth corrected in everyday life without any worries or shame. Hardly anyone around you will notice. In the first four weeks of lingual treatment, slight speech restrictions and possibly slight tongue irritation are to be expected. These quickly subside, as the tongue is a strong muscle that quickly adapts to the new situation. The tooth correction is visible on the free outer surfaces of the teeth from day 1.
The lingual braces are manufactured completely individually for each treatment in Germany (DW Lingual Systems GmbH in Bad Essen, Germany). The treatment is planned and simulated using a before/after model (orthodontic setup). As the patient, you can see this before/after model before the lingual braces are fitted. This means that you can see the treatment result transparently even before treatment begins.
Lingual braces enable a particularly tooth-friendly correction. Thanks to constant saliva wetting of the inner surfaces of the teeth and constant daily tongue activity, the lingual braces are continuously cleaned. Of course, consistent dental care is still essential during orthodontic treatment. Scientific studies show that tooth damage (unsightly white or brown spots = decalcification) on the inner surfaces of the teeth occurs much less frequently with lingual braces than with conventional braces on the outer surfaces of the teeth.
