Adolescent
The teenage years are the appropriate age for most orthodontic treatment tasks. With the help of removable appliances (functional appliances), jaw misalignments can be corrected by taking advantage of growth and with the help of fixed braces teeth can be moved three-dimensionally in the correct position.

Removable appliances
Orthodontic treatments for children and adolescents often begin with removable appliances which are manufactured individually for our patients in our own practice laboratory. Removable appliances can be used e.g. to create space in the jaw at an early stage even if deciduous teeth are still partially present. In addition removable appliances so-called functional orthodontic appliances can specifically stimulate growth and thus correct an overbite or underbite at growing age.
Invisable fixed braces- Lingual braces
The invisable fixed braces WIN (lingual braces) are the most modern type of fixed braces as they are manufactured individually for each patient (DW Lingual Systems, Bad Essen, Germany®) and offer the highest degree of precision and predictable treatment results. The lingual attachment of the brackets also offers a big advantage in terms of dental care and the risk of permanent tooth damage due to inadequate dental care during treatment. The tongue and saliva ensure constant cleaning on the inside braces and thus reduce the risk of permanent tooth damage (decalcification) by about 90%. We are spezialized in lingual treatment for adolescent.
Invisalign® Teen/ Aligners
The invisable braces Invisalign® are transparent and removable splints that can correct tooth misalignments reliable and almost invisible. The Invisalign® aligners have to be changed consistently by the patient every 7 to 14 days and at least been placed onto the teeth for around 22 hours a day.
Fixed visible braces
Visible braces consist of brackets which are attached to the labial surface of the teeth. It is possible to choose different bracket materials and colour- metal or ceramic. Furthermore the different bracket types differ from comfort characteristics and hygiene capability. Therefore we offer self-ligating brackets which combine both superior characteristics.
Log life retention
In order to stabilize the treatment result achieved by the orthodontist in the long term retention is an important part of orthodontic treatment. Since teeth tend to misalign throughout life especially due to structural changes in the human body, relapse can occur even many years after successfully completed orthodontic treatment.
In order to prevent a relapse we recommend annual monitoring by the orthodontist. even after successful treatment. Long life retention means fixed retainer and removable appliances in addition.
Fixed retainers (see photo) offer the greatest guaranty against a relapse. The fixed retainers are individually manufactured and are invisible from the outside.
Mouthguard
When you play football, handball, hockey or karate, there is an increased risk of tooth injury and even tooth loss. We offer the production of individual mouthguards in our practice.
